Attic Insulation Company in Miami, FL

We serve Miami and northern Miami-Dade from our base in Sunrise. Older Miami homes often have little attic insulation left, and the heat shows up on the FPL bill every month.

Older Homes, Thin Attics

Much of Miami's single-family housing was built decades ago, and many attics still hold whatever insulation went in at the time, now compressed, dusty or partly missing. In Miami-Dade the climate is about as hot and humid as it gets in Florida, so a thin attic means an AC that runs most of the day. Bringing the attic floor to R-38 is the single biggest fixable energy improvement in most of these homes.

Attic Insulation Services in Miami

Miami's older homes tend to need more than a top-up. Rodents, decades of dust and past roof leaks mean we often remove before we install, and that's where most of our Miami work is.

Rodent-contaminated insulation removal

Roof rats are common in Miami's older neighborhoods. After pest control seals the entry points, we vacuum out the contaminated insulation, clean up, and start fresh.

Full install to R-38

Once the old material is out, we blow in a full, even blanket to R-38, around 13 to 15 inches, corner to corner.

Air sealing in older ceilings

With the attic floor exposed after removal, it's the best time to seal gaps around fixtures and top plates. An add-on we strongly recommend here.

Top-ups where the insulation is clean

If your existing insulation is dry and clean, a top-up costs much less and works just as well. We'll tell you which you need.

The Best Attic Insulation for Miami Homes

Miami is the hottest, most humid part of Florida, so the insulation has to cope with moisture as well as heat. Blown-in fiberglass doesn't absorb water or feed mold, which makes it the safest choice under older roofs.

In homes with rodent history, the right order matters more than the material. Pest control first, then removal and cleanup, then air sealing, then new insulation. Blowing fresh insulation over contaminated material just buries the problem.

  • Our pick for most Miami homes: blown-in fiberglass to R-38 after any damaged material is removed.
  • Rats or droppings in the attic: pest control first, then removal, then new insulation.
  • Clean, dry existing insulation: a top-up is enough. No need to remove what still works.

What Your Miami Inspection Looks Like

Miami inspections spend extra time on condition, because older attics here often hide rodent or moisture damage.

Example thermal camera scan of a ceiling showing a warm strip where attic heat is getting through

Example thermal scan: the warm strip is where heat is getting through the ceiling.

  • Thermal scan of every ceiling โ€” shows where heat is getting in and where insulation is missing or disturbed.
  • Rodent and moisture check โ€” we look for droppings, tunnels, nesting and water stains, and photograph everything we find.
  • Remove or top up, and one price โ€” a written recommendation based on condition, not just depth, with one straight price.

A recent Miami job: every gap along the top plates and framing sealed with foam before insulation went in, so air stops leaking through the ceiling. See more of our projects.

Miami Areas We Serve

Miami and northern Miami-Dade. We're about 35 to 45 minutes from our base in Sunrise depending on the neighborhood, and we schedule Miami-Dade inspections on set days each week.

Older homes often need more than a top-up. If the insulation is contaminated by rodents or damaged by a past roof leak, it should come out before new insulation goes in.

Also serving all of Broward County, including Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood.

Miami FAQ

What does attic insulation cost in Miami?
Most Miami top-ups run $1,500 to $3,000, bare attics brought to R-38 typically run $2,000 to $4,000, and removal plus new insulation $3,000 to $5,000. You get an exact price after the free inspection.
Do you serve Miami-Dade from Broward?
Yes. We're based in Sunrise and schedule Miami-Dade inspections on set days each week. The inspection is free.
Our old house has rats in the attic. What do we do first?
Pest control comes first, to trap and seal the entry points. Then we remove the contaminated insulation, clean the attic and install fresh insulation, usually in one visit.
Is blown-in insulation a good choice in Miami's humidity?
Yes. Blown-in fiberglass doesn't absorb moisture or feed mold, and it fills the irregular framing older Miami homes have. What matters most is a dry roof above it.
